Hi, I am Tami. I work in my Orland Park home. At Lake Childcare Center. My passion is caring for children. Exploration into the world starts with play. I am formerly an Infant Toddler teacher turned Nanny. I have 13 years experience in childcare. I love to see children grow and learn. I am a Nanny/teacher not babysitter. I have lots of energy and tend to sing. TV is for learning or illness only. I believe in giving choices for behavior. I use words to encourage good choices. Our family has been very blessed to have Ms. Tami care for our two daughters over the past 4 years. Our oldest started with Tami when she was 3 months old and now our youngest is with her at 2 years old. Our girls love coming to Ms. Tami’s house. We are impressed with how much our girls have learned from her and love that our girls feel safe and look forward to being with her. Tami has a genuine passion for working with children. She is reliable, trustworthy, safety conscious, patient and nurturing. We hit the jackpot with Tami! 

We brought our daughter to Tami when she was 3 months old. Tami has helped develop her with tummy time, fine motor skills, self bottle feeding to walking. She is very caring and makes our little one feel safe and loved. Our daughter is very happy to see Tami every morning and always has a big smile on her face and she enjoys playing and learning with the other children under Tami's care. We enjoy seeing the photos that Tami provides us throughout the day along with an update on feeding, napping and changing. Tami is very careful, creative and takes wonderful pictures. She is soft and gentle and playful and very loving.

My daughter has been with Ms. Tami for a few months now and it has been a wonderful experience. My 16 month old loves Ms.Tami so much that she basically pushed me out the door to leave so she can start her day with her. Ms.Tami is very hands on, gentle, and teaches the kids so much! You will not be disappointed!

Tami is a sweet woman who is passionate about not just caring for your children but becoming a partner in rearing your child. She has helped care for two of my children and both loved being in her care. She is attentive and has daily project plans with the little ones. She has broken my kids tempers when it comes to rest and quitting playtime, by soothing them through peaceful music. She is patient and kind when it comes to kids with special needs and accommodations. She has always been understanding about times and she is flexible to your life and schedule. She is the only home daycare provider that I know of that sends daily reports with pictures and notes of your child's day. She has great parent-provider communication. She makes time to show and teach children nature. Tami should be highly sought after to care for your children. She has my highest recommendation.

I went back to work in October and hired Tami to watch my 8 month old. He is now 11 months old and loves spending his days with Tami while I am at work! He always has a big smile on his face while he's there and she also sends me daily updates which helps me get through my work day without him! She does fun crafts with him, story time, and lots more fun activities! She's the best and I know my son is in great hands while I am working.

Tami is the best, she is an amazing care giver & I know her impact will be life long my son with the mental enrichment she provided him. She is focused on learning, growth, creativity, arts & crafts, letters, milestones, & reading.  Always dependable, reliable, flexible, affordable, informative, & super experienced- my little one took to her quickly & she handled his meltdowns with ease. She truly is a godsend & I'm quite sad my household situation changed where we no longer need childcare, I would rehire her in heartbeat. Highly recommend

Tami was wonderful with our 3 month old daughter. It was especially helpful with the detail she put in to sending a recap of what they did for the day, keeping track of bottles & feedings, and of course sending pictures. We could tell our daughter thrived being there and she always had something to do and learn. 
If our work situation didn't change with Covid, we would have definitely continued to use Tami.

I have known Tami for 4 years. She provided full-time care for our neighbors' daughters from their infancy through early toddler years. I observed nothing but professional, compassionate, and self-less care for the family. I saw how she often went above and beyond what one would expect a nanny to give, engaging with the girls as if they were her own. When I accepted a weekly teaching job in the suburbs, Tami was recommended to me by a former music teacher and mutual friend. I was confident in Tami's abilities having seen her care for our neighbors. She is communicative, compassionate, and has embraced our family dynamic beautifully. We home school our 4 year old for preschool and, Tami has exceeded our expectations in supporting our educational wishes and goals for our daughter. Her activities are fun, educational, and age appropriate for both of our children. I appreciate her communication throughout the day along with photos of our children doing fun activities.

Tami is an amazing person. I love her heart. She is a loving an attentive nanny. She encouraged the children to participate and have fun, when she brought them to music class. One grandmother told me she wished her daughter could find a caring and loving nanny like Tami. I've seen pictures of her children doing wonderful projects. She would do sign language and say Spanish words to match during class. She lovingly corrected her children when their behavior needed attention. She always took pictures and was happy to share with the other parents. She always encouraged a helping attitude that her children followed with happiness. I believe she gave the best of herself to the family she cared for. She is a Godly person. A family would be blessed to have Tami working for them.

Tami cared for me and my sister when we were little and I never forgot how wonderful she was to be around! I wanted someone I could depend on professionally and also feel the most comfortable with when looking for someone to care for my 3 month old daughter and Tami was the first person to come to mind. I now know why my mother chose her to care for me and my sister! She goes above and beyond for my daughter in making her feel comfortable. Her focus in care is not only comfort and fun but healthy development for my child's motor skills, emotions and education.  Tami puts so much thought into all of the details from the time I drop her off to the time I pick her up. She explained to me how important it is to her to give a child all the tools they need for healthy development especially during the first 3 years of life. She gives me a complete run down of the day which really helps ease my mind as a new mom. I HIGHLY recommend Tami if you want the best care for your child! 

Tami is very nurturing and caring towards children. She has demonstrated her love towards children by really getting to know them as a person and all of their needs. You can trust that your child will be well taken care because of her dedication and her commitment as a childcare provider. 
She took care of my children and I felt so comfortable because of the love she showed them. Tami treated them as if they were her own and being away from them all day this was very comforting. Tami would be a great candidate for anyone who is looking for someone they can trust and who takes their job seriously. 

Tami has always been a great volunteer serving the youth at our church. She has always been someone I can trust to get a job done, and is always looking to help with a need. She does a great job dealing with kids in a group, as well as getting to know them in a one to one basis. She loves children and would be a great asset to any childcare center or as a family care provider.

I have known Tami, both professionally and personally, for 20 years. She is absolutely amazing! She possesses an upbeat attitude, is caring, kind and compassionate. Tami was a teacher and mentor to my daughter when my daughter was a little girl. My daughter is a young adult now and she still remembers her time spent with Miss Tami with great fondness and love. Tami is the type of person who always leaves you smiling. When I was the Superintendent of  Sunday school at my church, Tami was the first person I called to come teach, as always, Tami was phenomenal. I have worked with Tami at a church Early Childhood Program (UCECP) for the past few years.  She is an excellent teacher and caregiver.  She has worked with me in the infant/toddler room plus has experience working as a sub in older classrooms.  She is very kind and compassionate with the children but will lovingly and appropriately correct them as needed, guiding them to make the correct choice.  She has helped plan age appropriate activities in art, music and play.  She would definitely be an asset to any program or household.
