About Tamia

Hi! My name is Tamia, and I have over four years of experience working with children as an afterschool teacher. I've had the joy of supporting kids from kindergarten through elementary school, helping them learn, play, and grow in a safe and positive environment. In addition to my teaching background, I'm also a licensed paraprofessional, which has given me hands-on experience working with children with special needs. I'm patient, understanding, and take pride in meeting each child where they are -- emotionally, academically, and developmentally. Whether it's helping with homework, creating fun and educational activities, or keeping daily routines running smoothly, I always bring a nurturing, dependable, and upbeat attitude. I truly enjoy building meaningful connections with the children I care for and being someone parents can trust.
