About Tamarra

I have consistently worked in child care and education since the age of 16. I graduated from DU with a degree in English and Theater in 2018, and since then, I have worked as a teaching artist, education admin, and a full time assistant classroom teacher. I have a deep love for stories as a tool for understanding ourselves and our world, and believe in their importance of when working with young ones. I love playing pretend, reading aloud, and creating stories with kids! I have a large amount of experience in the classroom, using my artistic background to foster creative and warm environments where my students felt comfortable to play, explore, and be their authentic selves. I'm also deeply practiced in helping kiddos regulate their emotions and develop their budding communication skills. I've also had several private nannying jobs. Most recently, I nannied a 5-month-old full time for a year. I've also nannied and taught for toddlers, elementary age children, and middle schoolers.
