About Tamara

Hi! I'm a Maryland native, proud Hood College alumna, and current master's student at Hood with a deep passion for working with children and supporting families. I bring over 7 years of experience in child care and youth development, beginning with volunteer work in tutoring programs and sports camps and growing into a professional career. I currently work in Child Development and Care at the U. S. Army Garrison Fort Detrick, supporting children ages 4 through teens. I am compassionate, caring, fun, detail-oriented, driven, and highly trustworthy, and I truly love what I do. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, reading, and staying active through sports like basketball and pickleball, interests I often incorporate to create engaging and positive experiences for children. Families can feel confident knowing I am reliable, experienced, and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
