For five years, I took on the rewarding role of primary caregiver and sitter for my nephew, an experience that has provided me with invaluable, real-world child care expertise. This long-term commitment goes far beyond typical casual sitting; it involved consistently managing his daily routine, supporting his emotional and developmental milestones, and fostering a loving, stable environment. My responsibilities included everything from hands-on tasks like meal preparation, managing bedtimes, and assisting with homework, to planning engaging, age-appropriate activities and coordinating with family members.
