About Talia

Hi! My name is Talia and I am a recent graduate from UCSB. I am currently taking some time to apply to law school, and for the meantime I am looking to find new piano students! I received classical piano training from the ages of five to 18. As a student, I have competed in several competitions both regionally and internationally, and have passed Certificate of Merit exams- testing piano theory, technical skills, sight reading, ear training, and piece performance- with honors at numerous levels. I began teaching through the Cascade Melody studio as a sophomore in high school, and continued to teach both in person and remotely until my junior year at UCSB. I have experience teaching students at both beginner and intermediate levels from the ages of 4-16. As a teacher, I primarily teach technical skills, written theory, and classical pieces, but I also give the option to work on fun student choice songs on the side!
