About Talaya

I am a 26-year-old mom who grew up with older parents with disabilities. My mother broke her ankle and had reconstructive surgery when I was 14 so this gave me a lot of insight on caring for someone who is immobile. My father had a hip replacement when I was 16 so I had a big part in assisting him since he never had an home care assistance. My mother has had on going health issues my entire life so monitoring medication intake and dosages is an area I am very skilled in. Once I became an adult I worked with adults with mental disabilities and assisted with everyday activities. I am kind, patient, pay great attention to details and over all a great companion. I feel like a huge part of this is building a solid relationship with the person you're caring for.
