I grew up in a family of animal lovers/pet owners. Of course, as an adult, life felt more fulfilling when I could have my own pets. I've welcomed many types of rodents, a lizard, a snake, birds, cats, dogs, chickens, goats, and horses. Living out in the country, many stray dogs and cats have found refuge at my home. I would spay/neuter them, then find them homes. I previously worked at the Stanly County Humane Society animal shelter for four years. I was taught the sanitation process of cleaning cages and kennels. I learned to recognize illnesses and the quarantine process. I administered medication, flea treatments, and vaccinations. I am available for dog walking, check-ins, and overnight pet sitting while using any of the skills I've learned that your pet requires.
