About Tahna

I have tutored a variety of ages and skill levels off and on over the last 5 years. I started by volunteering in my mother's second and third grade classroom where I would work with kids who were falling behind or need special attention. I have also have volunteered at the middle school's after school program and helped kids with homework. My senior year of high school I was a teachers aid in a special-ed class and worked students who were struggling with their academics. Additionally, in the past I was a nanny and assisted many children with their homework. Over the years while working with kids, I have learned that all kids learn and grow differently. I have a couple tricks up my sleeve and try to make learning as fun as possible. As a tutor and mentor, I've learned that in order to be successful it is my job to adjust and find out what works best for the child.
