About Sylvia

With over 30 years of experience, I'm passionate about unlocking each student's unique potential through personalized support. My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and a genuine love for learning, creating an engaging and patient environment. I adapt my methods by listening, observing, and varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I keep students motivated by celebrating successes and breaking down challenges into manageable steps. Communication is key; I provide regular updates to parents and foster a collaborative environment. The most rewarding aspect for me is seeing a student's confidence soar. I am happy to tutor in Foreign Language at the middle school, high school, adult, and college levels, and I have a graduate degree. I also hold current certifications in CPR training and First Aid. I would love to help you achieve your academic goals!
