About Sydney

I'm a certified teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children in both classroom and caregiving settings. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach in both New Jersey and Florida. I earned a Reading Endorsement through the University of Florida and was honored with Exemplary Educator of the Year during my teaching career. In addition to teaching, I have nannying experience and am also a mom myself, which gives me both professional and personal understanding of children. I have experience working with children of varying ages, learning styles, and needs, including students with disabilities and diverse learning profiles. I also provide certified dyscalculia screenings and have a strong background in literacy, individualized instruction, and creating engaging supportive learning environments where children can thrive academically and emotionally.
