About Sydney

Hello, My name is Sydney. I am 32 years old and a mother of an 8-year-old. I have a degree in Expressive Therapy from Lesley University and a certificate degree in Childcare. In my current position as a Registered Behavior Technician, I am working with children aged 2 to 6 years old with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prior to working as an RBT, I owned a home daycare while my daughter was young. Our classroom was a multiage classroom of up to 6 children at a time. I facilitated a fun, loving, screen free day of activities from Monday - Friday, 7:30-5:30 p.m. While I was in college, I was a student trainee in Boston Children's Hospital's Impatient Psychiatric unit. My time in this unit was invaluable to my schooling and experience. It provided me with the skills to work with vulnerable populations, the ability to deescalate a situation quickly and keep children safe while still providing a fun and nurturing environment.
