About Sydney

I'm a recent graduate of New York University, where I earned a degree in Psychology with a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies. I am continuing my education at Teachers College, Columbia University as a Master's student in the Counseling Psychology program. I have a strong passion for helping students build confidence in their academic journey. My background in psychology equips me to not only explain complex concepts in an accessible way but also to understand different learning styles and tailor my approach to each student's needs. I have volunteered in roles that involve working closely with neurodivergent individuals and their families, supporting diverse learning styles, communication needs, and emotional experiences. Through this volunteer work, I have developed strong skills in adapting instruction, breaking down complex tasks, and using strengths-based strategies to support academic growth. My approach is patient, interactive, and encouraging.
