About Sydney

I bring both classroom teaching experience and hands-on childcare experience to working with kids, whether you need a babysitter, a tutor, or both. I'm a certified teacher with a year of experience teaching technology at the high school level, and I'm strong in science and English myself (honors coursework through college). I also spent two summers as a camp counselor for kids ages 6-12, keeping a group of energetic kids safe, engaged, and having fun all day long. For tutoring, I focus on finding what makes a concept click for each individual student. For babysitting, I believe in a mix of structure and play, and am comfortable helping with homework or diving into board games and outdoor time. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, have my own car and license (happy to help with pickups/drop-offs), and communicate clearly with parents about routines and how your child is doing. Currently available mainly on weekends.
