I personally have played a large role in my cousin with down syndromes life. He is now 8 years old. I babysit him regularly, help with homework, take him to the park, etc. Since working for him as a baby I found my passion in special education. I am a volunteer aide in the special education class at my school. I have worked with a number of disabilities there. I will be attending college in the fall to study early childhood special education. I love caring for those with special needs and helping them grow and improve on their skills. All previous work has been volunteer or for free.
