I have experience over the past 12 years providing a variety of health care assistance. I have done 24 hour care at a summer camp for Adults with developmental disabilities. The camp was designed to relieve the clients' regular caregivers for a two week period. I have done long-term home care with Alzheimer patients, traumatic brain injury, etc. I have walked away from this line of work several times to pursue other avenues. I find myself coming back to it often. I am patient, kind, and find a lot of value in connecting with and helping those that need some extra compassion and fun in their lives.
