About Sydne

Hi my name is Sydne, I am currently transitioning to part time with my current family of 2 years and looking for another wonderful family to fill in about 24-30 hours a week. My approach to care is informed by the REI Philosophy by Magda Gerber. The key components are respectful communication, safe environment, child led play, and trust. I love to be involved and play with the kids, while also allowing them space grow their confidence and feel a sense of independence. I enjoy weaving learning into playtime and I am always seeking out cool new activities that are age appropriate and exciting. I take pride in being a safe, calm, and encouraging presence in their lives so they feel confident in their emotions and abilities. I also see my role as caregiver as a continuous collaborative effort with parents to provide what is best for their child at every stage. I am CPR certified. I have my own transportation. And I can't wait to get to know you and your little loves!
