About Sven

Hi! My name is Sven and I am a professional high school educator who is looking for summer tutoring positions. . I am currently a fifth-year educator at Jesuit High School of Portland. I am an English II (sophomore English) and English III (junior English) teacher, dedicated to building lifelong readers, writers, and thinkers! In my day-to-day as an educator, I facilitate lessons, develop year-long curriculums, and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and administration. Much of my focus is given to literary analysis, including expository analysis and connective analysis. However, aiming to provide a full education, I am a passionate teacher of reflective writing as well. I also help educate on and facilitate large-scale research projects. My main goal is to not only develop students who see critical thinking as a useful tool, but reflect on the world around them and themselves whenever they critically consider any issue.
