About Suzanne

Hi, I'm Suzanne! (she/her) After working as a software engineer, I decided to stay home with my first child (of four). I was primary caregiver and then teacher as we homeschooled (for lifestyle rather than religious reasons) from pre-k through 8th grade. I also did regular paid childcare in my home for infants through preschoolers. Most recently, I worked for 10 years as a teacher and administrator at a secular, progressive hybrid school serving homeschooled students in grades 6-12. I find working with children meaningful and important. I have extensive experience with children of all ages, and have taught at many levels, from learning phonics to helping with college applications. I am open to negotiation on my rate and am happy to provide references. Please note that beginning in Sep I am not available on Thursdays due to a teaching position.
