I have cared for children in one capacity or another for over 20 years. I began with babysitting and progressed to tutoring in a variety of subjects and teaching dance, theatre, and visual art to ages 2 - 15. I also worked as a full time nanny in San Francisco with the same family for 4. 5 years, and as a part time nanny there for nearly 12 years. I have experience with children ages 0 - 15, and also some experience with children with special needs. I love encouraging children to explore the world around them with wonder and joy and to teach through hands-on experience and reading. I love to encourage and nurture their personal creativity, verbal/literacy skills, scientific discovery, and numerical skills through play and fun. I like to let my children lead me to what they wish to explore. Will we observe worms today? Create a dance? Make a collage? Play on the playground? The child shows me what they want and need and I encourage as I enthusiastically go along for the ride!

Her creative range is enviable and her instincts while working with kids are spot on. As a former nanny myself, I was able to bring many of Suzanne's games and projects to my own work. Suzanne comes to each job with a creative edge and is constantly coming up with new and imaginative ways to engage the children with whom she works.
