Born healthy and active, I have spent 40 years earning skills to assist families. Most of my training and experience is based in Southern California, including educational support for teens with physical or learning disabilities, and home care for adults & seniors facing challenges and symptoms of stroke, cancer, dementia, etc. In 1977 I worked as a nurse assistant for Rockhaven Sanitarium in La Crescenta, CA; 1990 in Fallbrook, CA, People to People hired me for in-home care for Seniors. From 1993 to 2003 I was a volunteer firefighter/first responder in Colorado, followed by the Visiting Nurses' Association of Southern California Hospice Team. The State of California Adult Services hired me to provide in-home support for families challenged with long-term illness and/or disability. Most recently, in 2008, San Bernardino City Unified School District placed me in their Special Education Department where I currently work at improving my ability to care for others professionally.
