About Suzanne

I have been a Registered Nurse for 32 years, and as our population has aged, so have my patients (and me!). My last position was as the Nurse Care Director for a large assisted living company. I not only hired, trained and evaluated all the care staff, but I was responsible for making sure my residents had the appropriate care for their condition, evaluated for changes in condition... which can be both subtle and very rapid. I also was responsible for teaching all care staff how to give the highest quality care, but also spent a lot of time with residents and their families, answering questions and doing disease, medication and end of life teaching. I found that the more information the families had, their stress was lessened and they could enjoy precious time with their loved ones without the constant burden of worry.
