About Susan

I taught English (including composition) at Seoul National University in South Korea for 2 years, and later became an ESL teacher for incoming high school and college students, at Cushing Academy in Massachusetts. My main career was in international development, mostly as a consultant to the World Bank and United Nations. After retiring, I became an editor at Cambridge Editors (in MA) working remotely with graduate students and faculty on writing projects. I enjoy helping others discover and develop their writing skills. I worry that some students may become overly dependent on AI, and not develop the writing skills they will need in situations where AI is unavailable, inadequate, or unacceptable, or, when using AI, to be able to assess and edit AI-generated output.
