Not to brag, but as an administrator, I received a national award for most improved hospice. I'm a dementia practitioner, managed an adult day care, and was a hospice social worker for 20 yrs. I found that nothing can compare to one-on-one time spent caring for another. My mom lived with us during the covid quarantine. Being homebound with my husband and children allowed us a season to focus on mom as an incurable infection ravaged her body. We reminisced, laughed, and cried while saying goodbyes.
