About Susan

Hello, I'm Susan! I currently work with kids with mental and intellectual disabilities as a therapist and have experience with kids ranging as young as 3 years old, to teenagers! I'm looking to work as a nanny on the side and am open to working on different days than listed. I like working with kids because I find that children need our support. Whether it be feeding themselves or learning to regulate their emotions, as adults it's important to be a great model for kids and teach them how to apply different skills and teach them that we can be a source of comfort for them where they can express themselves freely. I started working with kids when I was a teenager as a babysitter for family. As I went into college, I had further experience in doing research work with toddlers, elementary school kids and elderly people. I tutored middle school kids on the side and since then got my degree in psychology. I have since been working as a therapist for kids for a couple years now!
