About Susan

I am a mom of three adult children. I recently retired from teaching first grade in the Iowa City Community School District. I currently substitute teach and do part time babysitting. I have always enjoyed interacting with young children through play, crafts, games, and educational activities. I started babysitting at the age of 11 and have done it periodically throughout my life. I watched other children along with my own when they were young and continue to care for the children of friends. I think it is important for children to have caregivers who align with the parents' values and goals for nurturing kind and caring humans. I am someone who communicates openly and listens to the needs of the parents and children. I am reliable, competent, kind, and loving.
