About Susannah

Music has been a second language for me since childhood. Violin was my 2nd instrument to learn and I took professional violin lessons through my teens into my 20s. I studied under two vary talented and skilled instructors for 6 years and mastered the skills of classical violin form, techniques, and memorized and performed professionally many classical pieces. I began teaching in 2007 and became a professionally certified teacher for Suzuki books 1 & 2. I've taught beginner violin to children for 7 years teaching in a studio setting and taught virtually as well and in students homes. I combine several teaching methods incorporating ear training and improv along either basic theory into the violin lesson plans. My philosophy is that every student is unique and deserves a teacher who recognizes their individual strengths and personality differences in the learning process to make pathways for music as an avenue for personal expression and joy.
