About Susan

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With more than 30 years of experience and a graduate degree, I specialize in Math, English, Reading and Special Education. I am trained to teach children with dyslexia. I hold a Certified teacher certificate. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach using visual aids, hands-on activities, and practice problems to suit your child's needs. By breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and celebrating small wins, I help build the confidence necessary for academic growth. I value open communication with parents to ensure we stay aligned on your child's progress. At our first meeting, I will do a few assessments to determine your child's interests, strengths, and needs. You will receive a summary of the assessments and the initial goals for your child.
