About Susan

I am a dedicated childcare professional with over a decade of experience working with children and adults in both structured programs and in-home settings. I hold a degree in Recreation and Leisure Service Management from Southern Illinois University, where I developed a passion for creating environments that support growth, play, and learning-both in nature and through modern engagement. I've taken on a variety of roles that have strengthened my ability to connect with people of all ages. I've worked as a Program Coordinator and now serve as an Area Coordinator for a local afterschool program, where I support multiple elementary school sites and guide the staff who run them. I've also managed children's camps, parties and special events at private facilities-always bringing energy, organization, and creativity to the table. Whether I'm supervising a team or reading a bedtime story, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for everyone in my care.
