About Susan

For over 22 years, I've been helping elementary students excel in math and English. I am a certified teacher with a graduate degree. I believe every student possesses unique potential, and I work to build confidence and foster a love for learning through engaging, supportive, and patient instruction. I adapt my teaching by actively listening to your child, varying my strategies, and encouraging open communication. I keep students motivated by celebrating successes, breaking down complex problems, and encouraging curiosity. Open communication with parents is essential. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I am comfortable tutoring at your home, the library, community center, or your child's school. I have a car and I am comfortable with pets. I would love to help your child reach their full potential!
