About Susan

With 10 years of experience as a certified teacher, I'm passionate about helping elementary and middle school students unlock their full potential. My approach is rooted in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment, adapting my methods to suit each student's unique style through active listening and varied teaching strategies. I especially am interested in literacy, instruction; I have experience in Science of Reading based instruction. I can also help in Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, Special Education, Study Skills, and History. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples and celebrate every success along the way. Communication is key, and I provide regular updates to parents. I am also experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). Witnessing a student's confidence grow is incredibly rewarding. I would love to help your student achieve their goals.
