About Susan

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, patient and dependable. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy spending time with them, helping them with their needs and listening to their stories. I started caring for seniors 12 years ago when my aunt was diagnosed with dementia. Since then I have cared for seniors off and on as I was still working full time as an electrician. I have recently retired and now have more availability. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my daughter, my grandchildren and friends. I also enjoy jewelry making and furniture refinishing. One thing you should know about me is I have a lot of compassion for seniors. I believe they have so much experience and wisdom and much can be learned when spending time with them. I feel it can be frustrating for them when they need assistance but when they are treated with respect, that frustration can be easily avoided. My skills include companionship, light housekeeping and meal preparation.
