About Susan

I have had the experience of taking care of my grandmother who started showing signs of Alzheimer's at about the age of 86. This included just visiting her, preparing meals for her, making sure she is safe. Going grocery shopping for her, getting her mail, general housework, etc. She stayed in her home until she was 92, but eventually she needed round the clock care. In November of 2013, my mother was in a head-on collision. After several days in the hospital she was moved to rehab, and now she is home, but I have been cleaning, taking her to the doctor's, she crushed her left leg and is in a wheelchair, so I am helping my dad take care of her. She cannot walk and we are not sure when she will be out of her wheelchair or resume normal activity.
