About Susan

Hi Families, My name is Susan and I'm a Multiple-subject Credentialed teacher, 20 years+. I've taught First grade several years at a Catholic elementary school; currently working as a Substitute teacher; Took some time off to raise two girls (1 in HS and 1 in College); Also worked as a Special Education Aide 2&3, one-on-one and in a Special needs/Learning disabled classroom. Experience as a Caregiver for the elderly at Competent Care and currently working as an assistant childcare helper for a Daycare. My passion is working with children between the ages of 0-early teens. I really enjoy tutoring children since I can see how a child learns and benefits from one-on-one/small group instruction. The results are what make this position so rewarding! My favorite things to do when I'm not working are yoga, cooking, sewing, reading and being with my family and friends.
