I have a master's degree in psychology, with a focus on counseling and trauma. I have many years of experience working as a paraprofessional with students who have special needs, primarily autism. I currently work as a Registered Behavior Technician during school hours and I am looking for supplemental work during my off hours and vacations. I have CPR training and am also trained in CPI. My priority is to keep kids engaged and I connect with them very well. I am sensitive to their needs and I don't tend to be too squeamish. I have a lot of empathy and compassion, and a lot of patience. I approach my work with humor and joy and try to meet the kids where they are at. I also love animals, so if you have pets, I am happy to assist with them as well. She is wonderful with children. She plays with them more like another child would rather than a grown up. I have seen kids respond to Susan positively and imaginatively, making forts, drawing pictures, making up stories, singing songs.... She is always on time and is flexible. She will do what ever she is asked without argument. I have recommended Susan to many friends for babysitting and Nanny functions.
