About Susan

I am very interested in joining a family as a trusted and valued caregiver. I did a great deal of childcare as a young woman, and I have raised a son with special needs, but I don't have recent paid childcare experience. I am kind, bright and very resourceful. I truly love being with infants and older children. My house was typically where local children gathered... I think because I made time to listen and hold a conversation when a child wanted attention. In college I worked as a Montessori school aid, where I learned valuable skills that helped me as a mother and in time spent with children since then. I am retired from Johns Hopkins where I worked in medical research. I also have catering experience and would be happy to include meal prep in my duties. I look forward to spending time with children again and hope to hear from you!
