About Summer

Hi there! I have 5 years of teaching experience in grades pk-2. I am a certified general and special education teacher offering private tutoring in reading, writing, and math. - In-person - Individualized support - Personalized lesson plans, homework help and progress tracking - Based in Dallas, Texas - travel available I'd describe my personality as patient, goal oriented, fun loving! I'm looking for families who are excited to work together to achieve their child's academic goals. I started teaching in August of 2020 and just recently left the classroom in May of 2025. I worked in both inclusion settings as well as self contained classrooms. Both programs focused strongly on small group and one-on-one instruction. I love to have fun! I strive to get students excited about their own learning. I prefer to use hands on and interactive activities to increase student engagement.
