Hi my name is Summer. I recently had the privilege of caring for my mom on Hospice. She was an above the knee amputee, blind, and had multiple organ failure due to diabetes. I had the hands on experience caring for her on a daily basis. I used a hoyer lift, changed her diapers, bathed her, fed her, as well as light house keeping and grocery shopped for her. But just as important, I helped her enjoy her days by playing jeopardy with her, discussing books we have read, talking with her about her day etc. I worked with children most of my life but have a new compassion for elder care
