About Summer

When I hired Summer as a nanny for my then 8-month-old baby, I was so nervous to leave him in someone else's care. He was at the absolute peak of his separation anxiety and most people in my life found him difficult to keep calm without me present. It was immediately clear that Summer has such a gift with babies. They bonded quickly and she was amazing at calming him down, keeping him distracted, and keeping him playful when I was working. He took bottles from her more reliably than he took them from anybody else, and he kept his nap schedule more consistent than even I usually was able to. During her time working for me, Summer was consistent, reliable, on time, respectful of parenting decisions, and was always a clear communicator. It was also always very clear that she was spending plenty of time reading to our son, and that she was often teaching him new skills. I feel very fortunate to have had Summer as our first childcare provider and I would very highly recommend hiring her if you get the chance!
