Hi families! My name is Summer. I'm a 3rd year nursing student at UVM and I am looking for a part-time position in the Burlington area! A little about myself: I'm a cheerful, kind soul who's all about soaking up the goodness life has to offer. I've taken a special interest in learning about childhood development and I think it shows in my caregiving capabilities. I've been nannying for six years and I have worked with all ages. I've always had this genuine love for watching kids grow, explore, and enjoy the wonders around them. I love art, crafts, music, being outside, and making everything a little adventure! Where would we be without Summerann?! She nannied for us starting when our son was about 4 months old, and I truly don't know how I would have survived returning to work after maternity leave without her. She is so kind, extremely responsible, very patient, and has fantastic instincts and knowledge when it comes to caring for babies. As first time parents, we often deferred to her on her baby expertise when trying to navigate tricky nap/sleep schedules, and working with our son on tummy time and sitting up, etc. She sent pictures and videos of what our little guy was up to during the day, and was so sweet with our sassy, spirited dog :) Beyond her reliable, high quality care for our son (and dog), she has a magic ability to transform your chaotic and messy post-baby home and somehow turn it into something tidier, cleaner, and more organized than it was before! She is also just a wonderful human to chat with and know as a friend. As a first time, anxious mom, I was very wary of trusting my baby with someone new outside my family, but I would recommend Summerann in a heartbeat. She is truly a fantastic caregiver, and anyone would be lucky to have the chance to work with her!!
