About Sukanya

Dear host family, I'm Sukanya, or Tan, from Thailand. I'm 26 years old. I was born and grew up in my hometown, it's in the countryside. I have 1 older sister and my parents are farmers. I used to help my sister take care of her kids since they were 8 months old. Now they are 6 and 12 years old. I have participated with Au pair in America program since May, 2010. Before I became an Au pair I was training and teaching children at a kindergarten school. They were 1 and a half to 3 years old. I taught them how to put on and take off shoes, clean their hands, feed themselves and did any kids activities with them. I'm also a babysitter in the evening for a son of my neighbor who lived in the same apartment with me while I was training at kindergarten school. He was 3 years old. I took care of him for about 1 year. About my character, I am patient, generous, active, joyful, friendly, helpful and a honest person. I love to play sports, listening to radio, search new things from the internet and watching TV in my free time. I also can cook Thai food. I love to cook. My favorite dishes are Tom Yum and Papaya salad. I also can teach or cook Thai food for you if you want. I already got a driver license from Washington state. I have never had any car accidents. I studied in my hometown when I was in primary high school and vocational school. I was a student committee of the school. I participated in many school activities (sports player, chairman) I got a Bachelor degree in Electronic Telecommunication Technology from King Mongkut's University of Technology, North Bangkok in 2008. After that I worked as an engineer at DTAC's Transmission Department until I finished my contract. Presentli, I'm an Au pair (live-in with family) in the Bellevue area since May, 2010. I'm going to finish my program in November 30, 2011 (for 1 and a half years for me being in USA). I'm taking care of two boys, full-time, Monday - Friday. They are 1 and a half years old and a new baby is 2 months old. My responsibilities are to prepare breakfast, lunch, snacks, give a bath, clean kids room, do their laundry, take them outside, read a book, play and do kids activities with them. They are cute and very good kids. I love to play with them. It is really fun to play and be around them. I promise I will take care of your kids with my highest responsibility.
