About Steven

Hi! I'm a math teacher with 14 years of junior high experience and nearly a year at the high school level. I currently teach through Integrated 2 and specialize in middle school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Integrated 1, and early high school concepts. I approach tutoring as educational coaching - not just homework help. My goal is to help students understand the "why" behind the math so they can grow into independent, confident learners. With 15 years in the classroom, I'm skilled at identifying learning gaps, breaking down complex ideas, and adjusting explanations to match how each student thinks.
