A bit about my background: I have babysat 6 months to 12 years old and was a dedicated PT nanny to 2 Bay Area families in college. In my spare time I have been a paraprofessional therapeutic youth mentor for an 11-year-old, camp counselor for a Girl Scout camp, volunteered at the boys and girls club and make-a-wish over the years. Childhood development matters a lot to me, as I studied Sociology, and I understand the impact of early childhood experiences so when I babysit I typically actively engage the child's imagination with limited technology use and love helping kids get creative and feel heard, understood and cared for. I'm also good for putting kids to bed for the night or a nap and quietly reading. Stephanie was our favorite sitter for our daughter! Her demeanor was always calm, steady and thoughtful. She always spent quality time interacting, reading & playing for the entire visit. She was just really good at being present and engaged with her and always found things for them to do together. It never felt like she was just there keeping an eye on things until we got home. She genuinely enjoyed spending time with our daughter, and our daughter loved spending time with her. We always felt completely comfortable leaving her with Stephanie and couldn't recommend her more highly.
