I began my career as a private nanny 14 years ago and have experience with children from newborn through school age. My background also includes licensed daycare, preschool, and special education. I have extensive infant and toddler experience and am currently working toward my Newborn Care Specialist certification. I also have 49 college credits in Pre-Kindergarten Care & Education. My approach is warm, nurturing, and respectful, with consistent, age-appropriate boundaries and routines. I believe children learn through play and love creating opportunities for learning, exploration, confidence, and independence. I'm dependable, punctual, and communicative and value collaborative relationships with parents. Stephanie began caring for my child when he was six weeks old and she took care of him as if he was her own child. She was very supportive in feeding him breast milk (pumped) while I was at work which made the transition a little easier. When I was pregnant with my first child she taught me how to change a diaper, hold and feed a baby and was always kind. I was so grateful for her advice. My son is now 18 and my daughter is 26 and we continue to stay in contact with Stephanie as she was truly a cornerstone for both of my kids growing up. I have the utmost confidence in her judgement and would trust her to care for any child. I would hire her again in a heartbeat if I needed childcare.
