About Stephanie

Learning isn't one-size-fits-all, and I tailor my approach to fit each student's unique needs. With three years of formal experience tutoring in math, English, science, and foreign languages, as well as more years volunteering to tutor in high school and college, I work with every level of student. I vary my teaching strategies, such as using visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. I also keep parents updated of their student's progress. The most rewarding aspect is seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills. I have some graduate school education in biopsychology, have graduated with a bachelor's in chemistry and religion, am currently working on a second bachelor's in business administration, as well as military experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. I am comfortable tutoring at various locations, including online.
