About Stephanie

I began tutoring my sophomore year of high school; I helped one middle school student with math, science, and Language Arts until I graduated. In my first and second years of college I worked in a tutoring after-school program, and worked with 2nd and 3rd graders in math, language arts, reading, and art. In my senior year of college I was an America Reads tutor at a local elementary school. I worked in a third grade class and helped students with reading chapter books, reading comprehension lessons, and other duties as requested by the teacher. This past academic year when I was working in Madrid, Spain I gave private ESL classes to several children (ages 4 and 8). My students can expect to dance and sing, play grammar and vocabulary games, watch video clips, spend time outside, and/or discuss TV shows, books, their favorite activities etc. I get to know students as quickly as possible to establish what will be the most fun during our lessons!
