My goal for my person (client, if we're being more official) is to feel safe and comfortable with me as they become more dependent on others for things they can no longer do for themselves. That's hard to accept, and I want to provide services without ignoring dignity and personality. What stood out to me about Stephanie was her patience and kindness towards my sister as she cared for needs my sister could no longer take care of for herself. Stephanie showed great understanding and a willingness to listen to my sister, to talk with her, and treat her with unending dignity. As my sister’s health continued to decline, Stephanie was willing to do whatever it took to make my sister comfortable, seen, heard, and valued. I will always be grateful for the care she showed and gave to my sister.
