I am a mother of a pre-teen with minor special needs, and I am a former Kindergarten and 1st grade licensed teacher of 7 years. I have 11+ years experience as a Para Educator including SPED units, a Kindergarten Assistant and a Resource Para for grades K-6. I have 5+ years experience with one-on-one tutoring for elementary aged kids. I have also worked in summer camps for kids aged 5-12 doing arts, crafts and games. I believe learning should be fun. I believe in using multi-sensory methods as much as possible. In addition to reading books, writing, and doing math problems on paper, I like to use games, manipulatives, songs, and body movements to increase their abilities. I believe in being a cheer leader for students. Progress may move slowly at times, but I feel it's very important to recognize and celebrate all success, no matter how small. I like to help build confidence in kids so that they can be more successful in their learning.

We have had the absolute pleasure of having Stephanie care for our children for the past almost 2 months and I can't recommend her highly enough. She has been dependable, warm, and attentive to our children ages 3 and 5. She is engaging them with age-appropriate activities, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and educational books and games. She always shows up on time, communicates clearly, and follows through with any requests or routines we've put in place. She always comes prepared with different learning activities for them. Most importantly, I’ve always felt completely at ease knowing my children are in such capable and caring hands. She is not only great with the kids but also respectful of our home and routines.
