Ms. Stella took care of my granddaughter from 3 months old, until now 3 1/2 years of age. Her sincere love and care for my granddaughter was evident from day one. She was always attentive to my granddaughters needs and also instilled discipline into her caregiving of my child. I loved seeing how excited my child was to spend time with Mrs. Stella which says everything. After reading the reviews on Stella, I feel the need to defend myself. Reading the previous review, I am the employer she mad mouthed extensively. Stella was employed with us almost 2 years and then went out of town on a Friday and texted me on Sunday that she was not coming back and to find another Nanny, knowing we both work, no 2 week notice or anything. We had to scramble and take vacation days to find another Nanny. She did not even say goodbye to my son, who she took care of since he was 6 weeks old. We were extremely flexible with her and worked with her schedule. And we turned the other way when things happened, because my son loved her and was used to her. I was very disappointed how she left things and expected more from her.

I interviewed Stella via phone. She is clearly experienced with child care and thus conveyed a sense of confidence in her skills. She was openly communicative. However, part of the reason we chose a different applicant was because she was badmouthing her previous employer extensively. I get the sense that she could be a good fit in families that integrate her into their family life, but that she might not do perform as well feeling monitored or micromanaged. 

We hired Stella to be our nanny. She had rave reviews from her previous employers, and we thought she was wonderful, but she never showed up. She let us know she was sick on the first day she was supposed to work, so we let her take a few days to rest up. We spoke with her the next day as well. And then she disappeared. We had to take nearly two weeks of vacation days to restart our search after she had committed to work for us. She did send a message about 2 weeks later to apologize for not coming.

Words in a review cannot describe what Stella means to our family. She simply is family. We hired Stella three years ago when my daughter was 7 months old until she went to school at 18 months and has been a part of her life ever since. I had never hired a nanny before, but knew I wanted excellent one on one care for my little one. And we got that and more with Stella. My daughter simply adores her and I trust her with my life. Stella just truly has a gift with children. She loves them and they love her. Stella's extensive background in child care, as well as being a mom and grandma herself makes her highly qualified for any age range. She's dependable, loving, smart, kind, and trustworthy. I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to go to work or go out on a date night knowing that your child is with someone they love like their own. She puts the child first and always goes above and beyond for the families she works for. She's an absolute dream nanny and we love her very much! 

Stella has babysit several times for my 3 year old and 1 year old. She is so great with them!! She was the first babysitter I ever used that wasn't family and she was the first babysitter I ever left my son with. The first time she watched my kids, my son was about 10 months, and I was a nervous wreck. Thanks to Stella, he was happy as could be when we got home. She will sit on the floor and play with my daughter and give her all her attention. My daughter adores her. She would be a great nanny and/or babysitter for any family!
