About Staci

Hi! I am a very adventurous person who loves working with kids. The start of my experience basically started in the summer of 2018. I worked at YMCA Camp Hanes as an Adventure Counselor (Working with 10-15-year-olds). I then ended up staying there up until the fall of 2019 as an Outdoor Education Instructor. Once summer of 2019 ended, I decided to go to Indiana to work at Camp Tecumseh YMCA for the fall. As an Outdoor Educator, I worked with anywhere from ages 4yrs to 16yrs. After leaving Indiana, I came back to NC to work as a lifeguard for the Y. When spring 2020 came around, I decided I wanted to go back to Camp Hanes to work as an Outdoor Educator for one more season. Unfortunately that is when Covid-19 hit causing us to shut down early. From there I managed to become a lifeguard for the city of Winston-Salem. Again, Covid affected that too. I was working in retail for the remainder of the time until I got hired in Durham. I currently work here in a Toddler room.

We hired Staci to keep our grand kids occupied over the summer while we worked remotely. She exhibits a solid work ethic though her punctuality, creativity and focus on making sure they do some schoolwork. She is fun and relates well with the 12 year old while our little 4 yer old loves play & to cuddle with her. Show her where things are and work in confidence that your kids will have nutritious snacks and meals. Leveraging her camp counseling skills, our backyard has been transformed into a water park, scavenger hunt and sidewalk chalk game of Candy land. We love Miss Staci!!
